New Court Construction

Built from the ground up.
Built to last decades.

New pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts done right — from the base prep to the final stripe. Every court starts with a proper foundation, and we don't skip steps to save time.

What We Build

Pick your court.

We build all three of the most-requested court types. Each one has different base requirements, surface specs, and striping — we'll walk you through what's right for your space.

Pickleball court

Pickleball Courts

The fastest-growing sport in the Pacific Northwest. A standard pickleball court is 20' x 44' playing area, with 30' x 60' total recommended for fences and run-off.

  • · Single or dual court layouts
  • · Concrete or post-tensioned slab
  • · Acrylic cushion coating
  • · Net posts and nets
  • · Fencing and windscreens
Tennis court

Tennis Courts

Full-size tennis is 60' x 120' overall. We build to USTA specs whether it's a residential single court or club-quality installation.

  • · Post-tensioned concrete base
  • · Cushioned acrylic surface
  • · Net posts and center anchors
  • · 10-12 ft fencing
  • · Optional LED lighting
Basketball court

Basketball Courts

Full courts run 50' x 94', half-courts 47' x 50'. Most backyards go half-court — plenty of room for serious play without overtaking the yard.

  • · Half-court or full-court
  • · Concrete slab base
  • · Acrylic sport surface
  • · In-ground hoop system
  • · Free-throw and 3-point striping

How We Build

What goes into a court.

A court is more than what you see on top. The work underneath — base prep and drainage — is what determines how long it lasts.

Court site preparation

Step 1

Site Prep & Grading

We start with a proper survey — checking sun direction, drainage patterns, and how the court fits the lot. Then we excavate, install drainage if needed, and grade the sub-base.

  • Site survey and layout
  • Excavation and grading
  • Drainage installation
  • Compacted aggregate sub-base

Step 2

Concrete or Asphalt Base

For Pacific Northwest weather, we usually recommend post-tensioned concrete — it resists cracking from freeze-thaw cycles. Asphalt is a budget option that works but needs more upkeep over time.

  • Post-tensioned concrete (recommended)
  • Standard reinforced concrete
  • Asphalt option for budget builds
  • Proper slope for drainage (1% standard)

Step 3

Acrylic Surface Coating

Multiple layers of acrylic surface — typically a resurfacer coat, two color coats, and line paint. We use proven manufacturers like California Sports Surfaces and Plexipave.

  • Acrylic resurfacer base coat
  • Two color finish coats
  • Cushioned option for joint comfort
  • 10+ color choices available

Step 4

Lines, Nets & Finish

Lines are pulled to spec — USTA, USA Pickleball, or whatever standard you're using. Net posts, nets, fencing, and any extras like windscreens or lighting are the final step before we hand it over.

  • Precision line striping
  • Net post installation
  • Fencing and gates
  • Windscreens, lighting (optional)

What to Expect

Honest cost & timeline.

Every site is different, so these are general ranges. We give you a real number after we visit.

Pickleball

$25K – $50K

Single backyard court, typical site

2-3 weeks build time. Higher end for fencing, lighting, or tough site access.

Tennis

$60K – $120K

Full-size single court

3-5 weeks build time. Post-tensioned slab and fencing drive most of the variance.

Basketball

$20K – $45K

Half-court, residential

2-3 weeks build time. Full-court roughly doubles the cost.

Ranges assume reasonable site access and standard finishes. Permits, drainage work, and lighting add to the project total.
